Moistur AI vs Semrush

Semrush now bundles AI search tracking into its main plans, and since April 2026 it is part of Adobe. For an agency that already reports from Semrush, the question is whether weekly Brand Performance snapshots and a per-plan prompt allowance are enough to sell AI visibility client by client, or whether a specialist earns its keep next to the suite.

Moistur AI is a GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) platform that tracks how your brand appears inside ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Copilot. Semrush’s details on this page were read from its official pages on 2026-09-11.

Quick verdict

Is bundled AI tracking enough for a service line?

Choose Semrush if…
  • Your clients are already reported from Semrush and a weekly AI snapshot beside their rankings is enough.
  • Australian keyword and location data matters most: Semrush's Australian database and Position Tracking are excellent, and the AI toolkit rides on the same login and bill.
  • You want a free checker and a 7-day self-serve trial before committing.
Choose Moistur AI if…
  • AI visibility is a service line you re-measure client by client, daily, with sentiment, share of voice and cited sources on every prompt.
  • You want white-label playbook PDFs, share links and client logins included, rather than per-report and per-user fees.
  • You want scores with confidence intervals and a weekly action plan that is re-measured.

Semrush

Semrush is the largest SEO suite in the market: keyword research across more than 140 databases including Australia, Position Tracking for any location, site audits, content and advertising tools. Adobe completed its acquisition of Semrush on 28 April 2026. AI search tracking is bundled into the main plans: the SEO plan (US$139 a month) includes AI search tracking and sentiment monitoring; Starter (US$199) tracks 50 prompts a day with AI brand performance for one domain; Pro+ (US$299) tracks 100 prompts a day across 15 websites; Advanced (US$549) tracks 200 prompts a day across 40 websites with SEO share of voice and API access. Separately, the AI Visibility Toolkit is still sold on its own from US$99 a month per domain, billed annually. The AI Visibility Toolkit covers Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, with Claude, DeepSeek and Grok in Enterprise AIO. Details were read from Semrush's pricing page and knowledge base on 2026-09-11.

Moistur AI

Moistur AI is a GEO platform with no SEO features and one focus: how AI assistants recommend a brand. Your buyer prompts run daily across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot; answers are scored for visibility, sentiment, share of voice and cited sources with confidence intervals, and a weekly playbook of actions is re-measured after you act. Agencies run up to 10 client brands from one portfolio with white-label reporting and client logins at a flat price. About Moistur AI.

AI visibility inside Semrush after the 2026 re-bundle

The live pricing page no longer shows the Pro, Guru and Business plans that older reviews describe. AI search tracking is bundled into the main plans, 50, 100 or 200 prompts tracked daily depending on plan, and the AI Visibility Toolkit is still sold on its own from US$99 a month per domain, billed annually, with 25 tracked prompts. Either way you get an AI Visibility Score from 0 to 100, mentions, cited pages and citations, sentiment, a share-of-voice-versus-sentiment view and a Mentions by Country report. Brand Performance reports update weekly.

For an agency, the numbers to check are the prompt allowance and the website count on each plan, and the fact that AI brand performance covers one domain on Starter. A roster of 15 clients on Pro+ shares 100 prompts a day, about six or seven per client, refreshed for reporting once a week.

What changed for agencies

Semrush has sunset the Agency Growth Kit. The client portal, CRM and Lead Finder are discontinued, and white-label reporting moved to My Reports, where each report is bought individually and billed monthly: US$10 for a Base report, US$20 for a Pro report with branding and white-labelling; extra users start at US$45 a month. None of that is unreasonable, but it means the agency features an AI-visibility service leans on are now separate line items, and there is no client login role.

Australian data: Semrush's strength

If the question is how a client ranks in Australia, Semrush is hard to beat: an Australian keyword database, Position Tracking for any Australian location, and the toolkit's Mentions by Country view. Moistur AI has no keyword data at all. Its Australian relevance is in the prompts: packs written the way Australian buyers ask, city-scoped questions for local-service clients, Australian spelling, and an agency plan built for Australian retainer economics. Australian agencies are our first market.

Daily, client-level, white-labelled: where a specialist earns its keep

Moistur AI runs every client's prompts every day across six assistants and scores each answer for visibility, sentiment, share of voice and cited sources. Scores are sampled and reported with confidence intervals, and cross-model disagreement is measured rather than averaged away. Every client gets a branded weekly playbook: what changed, why it probably changed, and the actions to take, which are re-measured after you ship them. White-label PDFs, share links, scheduled emails and read-only client logins are included on the Agency plan; there is no report tier or seat fee to add.

Keep Semrush for rankings, keywords and audits. Add the specialist for the AI-visibility service line. Our guide to SEO vs GEO explains why the two measurements are only loosely related.

Adobe ownership: what it means for a small agency

Adobe closed its US$1.9B acquisition of Semrush on 28 April 2026 and framed it around brand visibility in AI-driven discovery, which signals more investment in the AI toolkit and a roadmap that leans toward Adobe's enterprise customer-experience suite. For a small agency the practical questions are price stability, how many features move to enterprise tiers, and whether per-user and per-report fees keep growing. We do not speculate beyond that; we simply note that a specialist with one flat agency price is easier to budget around.

Who each platform is for

The ideal customer for each

Semrush

Agencies and in-house teams whose reporting already lives in Semrush, who want AI mentions in the same login and bill, and for whom a weekly snapshot per client is enough.

Moistur AI

Agencies that sell AI visibility as a deliverable and want daily, client-level tracking with white-label reporting and a weekly action plan included, and brands that want defensible, weekly answers about how AI recommends them. Australian agencies are our first market.

Where Moistur AI is different

What you get here that you do not get there

  • Daily runs on six assistants per client, not weekly snapshots.
  • White-label PDFs, branded share links, scheduled emails and read-only client logins included in the Agency price.
  • Confidence intervals and cross-model disagreement on every score.
  • A weekly playbook of actions that is re-measured after you act.
  • Claude included on every plan; Australian buyer-language prompt packs and city-scoped prompts.
An Australian agency scenario

A Perth agency on Semrush Pro+ with 15 client websites

The agency wants to add an AI-visibility section to every monthly report. List prices read on 2026-09-11.

With Semrush
  1. Stay on Pro+ (US$299): 15 websites and 100 prompts tracked daily, shared across the roster, about six or seven per client.
  2. Add a white-label My Reports Pro report per client (US$20 a month each, US$300 for 15) and a US$45 seat for each extra account manager.
  3. Brand Performance updates weekly; build the AI section into each client's existing Semrush report.
  4. Monthly total at list: about US$599 before extra seats, for weekly AI snapshots inside the suite the team already uses.
With Moistur AI
  1. Keep Semrush Pro+ for rankings, keywords and audits.
  2. Add Moistur AI Agency (US$499 flat) for the first 10 client brands, daily on six assistants; the remaining five are scoped as Agency Enterprise on the setup call.
  3. Each client gets a branded weekly playbook PDF, a share link and a read-only login; 10 internal seats included.
  4. Monthly total at list: US$499 plus the existing Semrush plan.

If a weekly AI snapshot inside Semrush satisfies the clients, the bundled toolkit is the cheaper path. If the agency is selling AI visibility as its own service line, daily client-level tracking with reporting included justifies the specialist. Both figures are list prices on the day we checked; confirm them before quoting.

FAQ

Questions people ask about Semrush and Moistur AI

Is Semrush good for AI visibility?+

Yes, for a weekly view inside the suite: the AI Visibility Toolkit reports an AI Visibility Score, mentions, citations, sentiment and share of voice across Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. The limits for an agency service are the weekly refresh, the per-plan prompt allowance and the separately priced reporting features.

Does Semrush track ChatGPT and Perplexity?+

Yes. Semrush's knowledge base lists Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, with Claude, DeepSeek and Grok available in Enterprise AIO, as of 2026-09-11.

Is the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit still a separate add-on?+

Yes. On 2026-09-11 Semrush sold the AI Visibility Toolkit on its own from US$99 a month per domain, billed annually, and also bundled AI search tracking into the SEO, Starter, Pro+ and Advanced plans with 50, 100 or 200 prompts a day. The former Pro, Guru and Business plans no longer appear.

Is Moistur AI a Semrush alternative?+

For the AI-visibility part, yes; for SEO, no. Moistur AI has no keyword or ranking data. Agencies keep Semrush for SEO and add Moistur AI when AI visibility becomes a service line that needs daily, client-level tracking and reporting included.

Which is better for Australian agencies?+

For Australian keyword and ranking data, Semrush. For selling AI visibility to Australian clients weekly, with Australian buyer prompts, daily tracking, white-label reports and a flat agency price, Moistur AI. Many agencies run both.

Does Semrush white-label reports?+

Yes, through My Reports, where each report is bought individually and billed monthly: US$10 for a Base report, US$20 for a Pro report with branding and white-labelling, following the sunset of the Agency Growth Kit. There is no client login role. Moistur AI includes white-label PDFs, share links and read-only client logins on the Agency plan.

Did Adobe buy Semrush?+

Yes. Adobe completed the acquisition on 28 April 2026 for about US$1.9B, per Adobe's announcement.

Which is better for Australian businesses?+

A brand that already pays for Semrush and wants a weekly AI snapshot can stay put. A brand that wants to know every week whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot recommend it, with honest scores and a plan, gets that from Moistur AI's Starter or Pro plans.
